In Alpha, losses are covered in a fixed order. The Yuzu Protection Pool (yzPP) takes the hit first. yzPP depositors earn a higher yield precisely because they accept that first-loss position. Only if a loss is bigger than the whole yzPP does it reach the Reserve Fund, which can absorb what is left. yzUSD holders sit behind both layers. Two things to keep in mind: coverage is limited to what is actually in those pools (it is not insurance), and if the collateral pool takes a loss, yzPP minting and redemptions are paused until the assessment is done, including orders already in progress.

Depends on the product. Marketplace vaults are open to anyone: you deposit and withdraw from your own wallet, no screening. Minting or redeeming yzUSD, yzPP or yzPrime directly with Yuzu is limited to Accredited, Qualified, Institutional or Sophisticated Investors, based on your country of residence or incorporation. That means going through KYC or KYB, sanctions and AML checks, and source-of-funds verification.

It varies by product. Unstaking syzUSD back to yzUSD is basically instant. Redeeming yzUSD for USDT0 goes through the gated redemption flow and takes up to 3 days. yzPP has a 30-day redemption period. You keep earning yield during those 30 days, but you also stay exposed to first loss, and the minimum redemption is 5,000 yzPP. yzPrime redeems at the current NAV through the gated flow. Marketplace vaults each set their own terms, shown on the vault card before you deposit. Some let you exit within 24 hours, some run monthly redemption windows.

From on-chain positions you can look at yourself. Alpha runs a mix of tokenized T-Bills, overcollateralized lending, funding-rate arbitrage, stablecoin arbitrage and leveraged loops on fundamentally backed assets. Prime sticks to institutional fixed income: T-Bills, AAA CLOs and overcollateralized loans, with leverage on top. Every live position, venue and size is on the Accountable dashboard. Capital can only go to assets and venues on the Asset Whitelist, and anything newly added waits out a 7-day activation period before a single dollar is deployed.

Looping is a way to earn more from a yield-bearing asset by borrowing against it. You deposit something like syrupUSDT (earning around 3.6%) as collateral on a lending market, borrow a correlated stable asset like USDT at a lower rate (say 3.1%), use the borrowed funds to buy more syrupUSDT, deposit that too, and repeat. You end up capturing the gap between what the collateral earns and what the borrow costs, multiplied by the leverage. At roughly 10x on a 0.5% spread, that adds about 8% on top of the base yield. Yuzu only loops assets backed by institutional-grade collateral (BTC, ETH, T-Bills, blue-chip lending) and priced with fundamental oracles, which mark the asset at its redemption value instead of a DEX quote. That takes short-term price swings out of the liquidation picture. The position only becomes a problem if the spread goes negative for a sustained stretch, which is checked daily and unwound well before any forced liquidation.

Whichever is larger: 10% of yield generated, or 1% a year on assets. Never both. It is not charged on every profitable week. It comes out of the spread between what the strategies actually earn and what gets posted as the APY, so the rates you see on this page are already net of fees. What you see is what you get.

Reserves and liabilities are attested by Accountable, an independent third party that uses secure enclaves and zero-knowledge proofs, and the data updates continuously rather than in a monthly report.
